Georgian Bay Land Trust
Preserving and protecting land in the Georgian Bay area.
As a registered charity, the Trust receives donations of land, money and conservation easements for which tax receipts may be issued.
Financial contributions to the Trust help to:
- purchase significant properties
- maintain properties and pay taxes and insurance
- provide education about environmental issues
Within the volunteer membership of the Board of Directors of the Trust are experts who can advise you on how to take advantage of the opportunities inherent in donating to the Trust - whether property or cash or shares.
Advice on tax and/or estate planning and property evaluation related to donations to the Trust is available by contacting any member of the Board of Directors.
In all cases, properties are examined by the Trust's Property Review Committee, and only suitable uses - as mutually agreed by the donor, the community and the Trust - are recommended.
