Only annual contracts for a series of 3, full-page, half page or quarter page full-colour advertisements (bleed optional) can be accepted.

Promotion at GBA Meetings – Blowup posters (20”x 30”) can be ordered, at cost, of one of your " full page" advertisements for display at our Annual General Meeting in Toronto, and at our regional GBA Conferences each year in communities along the eastern and northern shores of Georgian Bay. These would include the words “Corporate Sponsor of GBA UPDATE” to reinforce your support for our communication efforts to our members and other Bay stakeholders.

Website – Your advertisement and each GBA UPDATE issue is posted immediately following publication on GBA’s website – www.georgianbay.ca. This dramatically expands exposure beyond our membership and circulation.

Rate - Advertising Rates for three consecutive issue contracts:
Contract for three (3) Full Page ads = $6000 Can. billed at $2000 following each issue.
Contract for three (3) Half Page ads = $4005 Can. billed at $1335 following each issue.
Contract for three (3) Quarter Page ads = $2505 billed at $835 following each issue.
Since GBA is a not-for-profit corporation, no agency commission is able to be offered.

Circulation – GBA UPDATE is mailed to home address of GBA Full Member Associations in Canada and USA by GBA or by member associations with their member mailings. Circulation fluctuates with each issue as membership levels change. Distribution in 2009 averaged 4,600 for members, stakeholders, and conference circulation. Estimated readership is 18,000 with newsletters shared with other family members and posted on the web.

Advertising Specifications for GBA Update (Width x Height):
Trim size of GBA Update publication= 8.5" x 11"
Quarter Vertical page = 4" x 5"
Quarter Horizontal page = 8" x 2.625"
Half Vertical page = 4" x 10.5"
Half Horizontal page = 8" x 5.25"
Full page = 8.5" x 11" (live area= 7" x 10")

Ad Format - For best reproduction, ads can be supplied in the following formats:
• Press-Ready PDF (should be sized to booking specs)
• Adobe InDesign CS2 or earlier
• Adobe Illustrator CS2 or earlier
• Quark Xpress 6.1 or earlier

Other formats will be accepted but may incur design fees. Unless a PDF is supplied, include fonts and supporting graphic files.

Graphic Formats - Pixel-based image elements (photos) can be saved as uncompressed JGEG, TIF or EPS files, and should be minimum of 300 dpi. Vector-based graphic elements (logos) can be supplied as EPS. These files are resolution-independant.
